Educational work
I recognise and am passionate about the importance of drama, art and performance as a tool for learning, exploration and expression, within a variety of different social and educational contexts.
Allowing people of all ages, abilities and background to explore issues relevant to their own lives, increasing their understanding and awareness of who they are and the world around them.
Engaging my arts practice in different social and educational contexts, plays an integral part of my development as an artist and human being.
I work as a Performance Lecturer on the BA Contemporary Performance Practice programme at the RSAMD, where I am particularly interested in developing the Academy’s concept and fostering of a Healthy Practitioner, alongside the Daily Practice Strand of the CPP programme.
I am also a Dramaworks tutor on the RSAMD’s saturday morning programme, where I am currently working with a group of S4′s exploring the principles of performing.
I continue to work as a freelance educational facilitator and workshop leader, where I write, lead and direct workshops, masterclasses and performance projects.
My experience includes working with groups of all ages and abilities, including adults and children with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and mental health issues.
