What’s happening now?
At the RSAMD:
Daily Practice for the Contemporary performer: As a lecturer on BA Contemporary Performance Practice Programme at the RSAMD, one of my main responsibilities and interests lies in the development of the Daily Practice module. This module is aimed at developing a relevant and effective method of voice and movement training to meet the needs of Contemporary performance practitioners. It emphasising the importance of developing a physical practice, which prepares the mind in line with the body, in order to develop a creative, articulate ‘thinking’ body within both a performance and process context.
Curriculum reform: The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, (which as of Sept 2011 will be renamed The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) is currently undergoing a process of curriculum reform for all of its Undergraduate degree Programmes. I am currently convening the redesign and validation of the BA Contemporary Performance Practice Programme at the RSAMD, for implementation in 2012.
